Peter Robert Keil grew up in Potsdam after the Second World War and in West Berlin from 1952. From about 1954, he was taught by Otto Nagel, trained as an artistic blacksmith, and studied from 1959 to 1961 at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Berlin, where he met, among others, Georg Baselitz and Markus Lüpertz. His work developed from expressive realism to spontaneous, colorful abstraction; he is counted among the circle of the Berlin New Wild Ones. In addition to oil paintings and mixed media, he created sculptures from wood and steel, as well as majolica works.

In the collection: "Abstract Woman with Red Lips", "Crowd in front of a Landmark", "Woman with Yellow and Orange Hair", "Sea View".

Technique: Oil/wood fiberboard, oil/canvas.
