Paul Heinrich Nodnagel studied at the art academies in Mainz and Karlsruhe from 1948 to 1957. He worked in oil painting, watercolor, drawing, lithography, and etching, addressing both figurative and abstract motifs, with a particular focus on themes from Greek mythology. Between 1960 and 1972, in addition to his freelance work, he worked as a teacher in Hesse and Bavaria.
