Jürgen Görg was born in Dembach in 1951. After graduating from high school in Koblenz, he studied art education at the University of Mainz. Since 1977, he has worked as a freelance artist and printer. In 1982, he set up a studio for stone lithography in Zurich, and in 1984, another in Boppard am Rhein for large-format canvas works. The human figure is central to his lithographs and etchings, drawn with fleeting lines and fine hatching. In 1980, he received the Rhineland-Palatinate State Sponsorship Award for Graphic Arts and Painting.
