Georges Braque, born in Argenteuil in 1882 and died in Paris in 1963, was initially close to Fauvism and, from 1908 onwards, developed Cubism together with Pablo Picasso. After the First World War, he found his own distinct style, centered on still life. In addition to painting, he created an extensive body of printmaking work with lithographs and etchings. In 1953, he designed the ceiling painting "Les Oiseaux" in the Louvre, and in 1954, stained glass windows for churches in Varengeville-sur-Mer.

In the collection: "Boats", "Le compotier."

Technique: Graphic lithography.
