Claere Roeder-Muench was a German painter. As the daughter of painter Richard Roeder, she studied at the Folkwangschule Essen, the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, and the Technical University of Danzig, where she was a master student of Fritz August Pfuhle. From 1946, she lived with her husband Kurt Muench in Hanau and was among the co-founders of the artists' association Simplicius in 1952. Her work primarily includes landscapes and floral motifs; after her death, the Claere Roeder-Muench Prize of the City of Hanau was established to promote figurative painting and sculpture (awarded from 1991 to 2011).
